Grand Café Du Nord is a grand café in a striking heritage building in the heart of Antwerp, which reopened its doors in 2026. Retail Projects worked on the interior, to a design by April One. In a building with this much history and character, every material, sightline and texture was weighed with a timeless guest experience in mind.

The photograph shows the white facade with the café's name in illuminated letters, ornate window surrounds and window boxes full of flowers. In front stretches a terrace under green and white striped parasols, furnished with rattan bistro chairs and small round marble tables. Through the glazed shopfront, the warmly lit interior spaces are visible. On the opening evening, the terraces were full straight away.
