This cookie policy explains which cookies the website www.retail-projects.eu uses and how you stay in control. For the processing of personal data in general, please refer to our [privacy policy](https://www.retail-projects.eu/en/privacy-policy/).

## 1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, tablet or smartphone. They can, for example, remember which pages you visited, so that the website owner can compile statistics.

## 2. Which cookies do we use?

We deliberately keep this to a minimum. Our website uses **no advertising cookies**, **no social media pixels** and **no third-party trackers** without your consent. The share buttons for social networks are plain links that only do something when you click them. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not via Google Fonts.

Only if you click **Accept** in the cookie banner do we load Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation. The following cookies are then set:

| Name | Provider | Purpose | Retention period |
|---|---|---|---|
| `_ga` | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) | Distinguishes visitors in order to compile anonymised visitor statistics | 2 years |
| `_ga_<ID>` | Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) | Keeps track of the session state for the same statistics | 2 years |

If you click **Decline**, Google Analytics is not loaded and no cookies are set.

## 3. How do we remember your choice?

Your choice (accept or decline) is not stored in a cookie, but in your browser's local storage (localStorage), under the key `rp-consent`. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. This way, you do not have to answer the question again on every visit.

## 4. Changing or withdrawing your consent

You can change your choice at any time via the **Cookie settings** link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics will no longer be loaded. You can also delete cookies that have already been set through your browser settings; see your browser's help pages for instructions.

If you use several devices or browsers, you make your choice on each of them separately.

## 5. Does the website work without cookies?

Yes. All pages and the contact form work fully, even if you decline cookies.
